Reksaari Nature Island
Reksaari, the oldest tourist island in Rauma, is an excellent nature destination for the entire family in the summer. Its groves and trails invite visitors to explore the diversity of the nature on the island. From Karttu you will find a summer café and restaurant, a sauna, campfire place and a possibility to camp out. Children can enjoy the beach and the play equipment on the island. Check the opening hours of Karttu from Facebook (in Finnish).
Nature and hiking trails
A 2.6-kilometre hiking trail leads hikers to the seafront by the open sea. The hiking trail is connected to a 3-kilometre nature trail, which starts at the old fisher’s house Karttu.
Map of the trails can be found on the Raumanmeri – Bothnian Sea map (pdf).
A leisure harbour of 25 boat places serves boating visitors.
