Rauma is a seaside town of 40 000 inhabitants. The town is located in the western coast of Finland, in southern Satakunta region. But how to get here?

By car

Rauma is easily accessible from the directions of Turku or Pori along the E8 road, and from the direction of Tampere along route 12.

Buses

Temporary bus station of Rauma

There are regular bus connections to Rauma from Pori, Turku, Tampere and Helsinki, among others. Rauma bus station is located next to the Church of the Holy Cross (pdf). The adress is Tallikedonkatu 13. Tickets can be bought from Matkahuolto website or Onnibus website. Rauma local buses

Local traffic in Rauma is run by LS-Liikennelinjat Oy. The public transport is known as Rauman Gyyt. Schedules, fares and route maps (rauma.fi, in Finnish).

Rail traffic

There are currently no passenger train connections to Rauma.

Air traffic

The nearest airports are in Pori (approx. 50 km) and  Turku (approx. 94 km), www.finavia.fi. Transportation to airports can be organised through for example Raumair, tel. +358 40 822 5544.

Ship traffic

Rauma has guest, service and excursion harbors to visitors arriving with own boat.

The nearest large passenger traffic harbour is in Turku (approx. 94 km). Tallinksilja and Viking Line operate in Turku.
