Art & Tasting event weekend
Art & Tasting event weekend on April 19th–20th, 2024, offers memorable art experiences and innovative cultural encounters in restaurants, cafes, bars, and similar venues in Rauma.
The idea is to bring together players from the cultural and restaurant industries to provide customers with cultural experiences in places where they are not normally available.
The themes of the event include culture, art, creative industries, food, wine, and beers.

ART:
Fri 19.4.
Restaurant Kapteeninhuone – The ceramic art group Keramos from Rauma introduces themselves. Ceramic art on display.
Restaurant Otava – Works of two painters on display.
Restaurant Amarillo at 2 PM–6 PM – nostalgic afternoon coffee served in vintage cups from the former Rauman Osuuskunta (Rauma Cooperative). On display are coffee and food culture artifacts from past decades. Objects, packaging, jars, and cans. Memories and heritage items are from the home museum of Inga Laaksonen from Rauma.
Osteria Da Filippo at 5:00 PM – Cellist Ginta Peika performs classical music classics.
Café Prassen at 5:00 PM–7:00 PM – Jenny Moisy performs relaxed music in Finnish and French, accompanied by guitar, clarinet, and vocals.
Marine Café & Sauna at 6:00 PM–9:00 PM – DJ Spa Master sets the mood with music for sauna-goers.
Café Sali at 6:00 PM–8:00 PM – Helena Riittiö – IG: @runoja_ja_lovee. Poetry cards and commissioned poems.
Café Sali at 7:00 PM – Venla Wallenius. Singing accompanied by piano.
Old Town at 7:00 PM – Sparkling wine and brushstrokes. Artistic activity: Come and paint your own masterpiece guided by Taina Lehtinen.
Oluthuone Wanha Kyttis at 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM – Encounters in Spring. Dance and Performance – Dancers Reetta Parvikko & Jenni Suominen.
Poroholma Beach House at 9:00 PM–2:00 AM – DJ Doom Stoner – A night of heavy music with Rauma’s heavy music DJ.
Bar Hehku at 10:00 PM–2:00 AM – HÄMY. A night of electronic music by the DJ collective.

Old Town at 8:00 PM – Aino and Tapani duo. Aino and Tapani present imaginative folk-pop, combining electronic and acoustic elements in their music.
Hella Street Food co. – Sh*tty Service Dinner at 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Good food and bad service. Actors will act as waiters during dinner, making it an entertaining experience. The Sh*tty Service Dinner is exactly what the name promises. Don’t expect anything and be prepared for everything! Poroholman Rantatalo at 9 PM–2 AM – Vinyl music speciality night, DJ Mikko R. plays dance music classics.
Domino at 11:00 PM – Highly talented pole dancer Hilma Virta performs excerpts from her competition program.
Artwork will be on display on Friday and Saturday at Old Town and Bar Hehku.

Who is organizing?
The event is organized by the Tourism Services of the City of Rauma / “Ympärivuotisesti elinvoimainen Rauma” (Year-round vibrant Rauma) project and the Rakastunut Raumaan community.
Practical coordination is provided by Toni Järvinen, funded by the project.
The Art & Tasting event weekend is part of the “Ympärivuotisesti elinvoimainen Rauma” (Year-round vibrant Rauma) project of the City of Rauma. The project aims to diversify and develop event, product, and experience offerings even during quieter seasons, such as autumn and spring. The project is funded by the Regional Council of Satakunta.
