Rauma Lace Week cancelled all public events 2020 due to Finnish Government’s advice to cancel large public events until July 31st 2020.
Rauma Lace Week will be arranged as a nine-hour live broadcast on the Night of Black Lace on July 24th 2020. The Lace Week Live will bring a varied program of the Lace Week, interesting performers from Rauma and the atmosphere of a multi-art festival to the people at home, as a nine-hour broadcast. During the live broadcast, pre-shot performances and programs, interesting encounters and interviews, as well as a live broadcast from the courtyard of the Rauma Art Museum will be seen. The free nine-hour broadcast can be watched live on the City of Rauma YouTube channel. It can be also watched afterwards as a recording on the same channel. It is possible to participate in the broadcast in different ways during the summer and through different social media channels, both in advance and during the broadcast.
Unfortunately, the Kake city train will not run at all in the summer 2020.
The museum shop at Old Town Hall (Kauppakatu 13) offers an extensive selection of Rauma-themed postcards. The Town Service Point Pyyrman (Valtakatu 2) has a small selection of postcards for sale. Many shops in Old Rauma sell postcards as well.
The lace shop Pits-Priia (Kauppakatu 29) offers a chance to explore Rauma lace, buy lace products and see bobbin lace making. Old Town Hall museum shop (Kauppakatu 13) offers a small selection of bobbin lace products, and there is a bobbin lace exhibition in the museum.
The nearest ATMs are located in Kauppakatu 1 (Osuuspankki) and Nortamonkatu 10 (shopping centre Wänni).
A public toilet can be found at the market place, opposite to R-Kioski.
There are four parking places near Old Rauma. The parking places are located by the Church of Holy Cross (Luostarinkatu 1) and along streets Eteläkatu, Savilankatu and Kaunisjärvenkatu. The parking place along Savilankatu is asphalted, and the parking places along Eteläkatu, Kaunisjärvenkatu and next to the Church of the Holy Cross are gravel pitches. There are some parking spaces with time restrictions around Old Rauma. Remember to use the parking disc!
