  • Attaching to the dock: To the buoys. The use of anchors is prohibited.
  • Services:  Fuel distribution (diesel and 98 with a 24h card), water refueling, aseptic tank emptying place, kiosk (beer, cider and groceries), café, grill, terrace, renting of watersport equipment

Safety, sustainability and resource efficient services in Syväraumanlahti

During the PortMate project in Syväraumanlahti the docks have been equipped with led lightning. The lamps are installed inside the handrail to feed the light straight to the docks which gives also a safe walk on the docks. A new electrical distribution center has also been installed.

Docks were also equipped with new safety equipment sets which include ladders, lifebelts, throw bags and boat hooks.

1317 Rauma, Kylmäpihlaja

  • Nautical chart: 41, Nautical chart series 804, E
  • 61°8′6″N, 21°18′3″E
  • Approaching: 4,5 meter sea-lane from South-West or 1,5 meter sea-lane from South-East to breakwater dock. Watch the video about approaching the port of Kylmäpihlaja.
  • Attaching to the dock: Mainly with buoys. There are about 20 berths.
  • Services:Cafe, restaurant (beer and cider selling rights), accommodation, conference rooms, sauna, info, regular waterbus traffic during the summer season, WC, shower
  • Sights: 36 meters high lighthouse tower is open when the waterbus is at the dock, otherwise as agreed.

Safety, sustainability and resource efficient services in Kylmäpihlaja

The investments in Kylmäpihlaja during the PortMate project have been:

  • The service house with showers and toilets for boaters
  • Solar panels on the roof of the service house which warm the water for the showers
  • Solar panels on the roof of the lighthouse building to produce electricity for hotel and restaurant purposes
  • Pipeline for the waste water between the service house and island´s own small scale filtration plant for waste water
  • Desalination plant to help to produce fresh water
  • Safety equipment sets which include ladders, lifebelts, throw bags and boat hooks

1318 Rauma, Kuuskajaskari

  • Nautical chart: 41, Nautical chart series 804, E
  • 61°08,2′   21°22,2′
  • Approaching:  5,5 meter sea-lane from South-West or North-East, from there to the 1,8 meter sea-lane to South-East. Watch the video about approaching the port of Kuuskajaskari.
  • Attaching to the dock: To the buoys. The depth of the berths in the guest harbor are 1,2-2,8m (the East-side dock of the island). On the South-side guest harbor the depth is over 4,2m (NOTE! waterbuses/authority dock, attaching to this dock with permission only).
  • Services:Cafe Wanha Kasarmi (open when the waterbuses traffic daily, alcohol serving rights, lunch), conference rooms, saunas, showers.
  • Sights: Observation tower 20 meters above the sea level. Cannons, rifle pits.

Safety, sustainability and resource efficient services in Kuuskajaskari

During the PortMate project Kuuskajaskari small port was equipped with transportable septic waste water system. That is a floating dock which also has a toilet for boaters. The tank will be towed from island to the continent to be emptied to the general waste water lines.

Kuuskajaskari small port was also equipped with new safety equipment sets which include ladders, lifebelts, throw bags and boat hooks.

1342 Rauma, Reksaari

  • Nautical chart: 41, Nautical chart series 804, E
  • 61°11,6′   21°26,1′
  • Approaching: There is a marked boat route in the nautical chart series. Diverge a little to the North-East from this boat route to reach the dock.
  • Attaching to the dock: To the buoys or with an anchor. There are 25 buoys at the dock.
  • Services in midsummer: Kiosk and café, camping site, beach, nature and hiking trail, grill place, water – and waste points, WC, sauna
