Rauma Maritime Museum offers experiences for children, too. In most museums touching is not allowed – the Maritime Museum guides children to learn by playing and touching artifacts that are marked with signs “Please, touch!”. Navigation simulator Jenny allows little captains to sail to faraway harbours! You can navigate the ship in New York or in Rauma. The floor of the simulator can be lifted in order to allow the smallest captains to navigate the ship, too. Helmet diver Wikholm needs your help to be able to work under water in the museum’s shipwreck section.

Kipparinpuisto in Rauma invites families to spend a day outdoors. The playground is open year round and everyone is welcome to play.
In the Traffic Park in the summer, an instructor guides children riding bikes, pedal cars and Lokari mini cars, the weather permitting. The equipment of the Traffic Park is available 4.6.-12.8. Mon-Fri 10-18 and Sat-Sun 10-16. At other times chidren’s own bikes can be used in the park.

Hop on Kake the City Train and explore Rauma in a fun and easy way! The train runs daily in the mid-summer. A train journey is an exciting experience for children.
Head towards the tourists islands in Rauma by a waterbus and spend a pleasant day at sea! The tourist islands Kylmäpihlaja Lighthouse Island, Kuuskajaskari Fortress Island and Reksaari Nature Island offer memorable maritime experiences for families with children. Nature and the trails in Reksaari and Kuuskajaskari are suitable for nature excursions for the whole family. In Kylmäpihlaja the bravest can climb up the lighthouse tower to observe the breathtaking view of the open sea. Water buses run regularly to Kylmäpihlaja and Kuuskajaskari in the summer.
