Art & Tasting event brings together culture, art, and restaurants in Rauma on April 19-20

The Art & Tasting event will be held in Rauma on April 19-20, aiming to combine art and cultural experiences with local restaurant offerings. The event builds upon the Art After Work event held for the first time last autumn.

Several cultural actors and organizations participate in the weekend by providing various performances, poetry readings, different music acts, and even a dinner themed around “poor service”. Visitors can taste dishes and drinks in over 20 different restaurants.

– We’ve received numerous inquiries from local cultural actors, and the offerings are delightfully diverse. Currently, the main framework of the event is in place, but the program will be further supplemented, says the event coordinator Toni Järvinen.

– Art & Tasting is part of the “Ympärivuotisesti elinvoimainen Rauma” (Year-round vibrant Rauma) project initiated by the city of Rauma. The project aims to diversify and develop event, product, and experience offerings even during quieter seasons in spring and autumn, explains tourism manager Irene Villanen.

The event is jointly organized by the Rakastunut Raumaan association, the city of Rauma, and event coordinator Toni Järvinen. The visual identity of the event is provided by Fiilaamo Oy.
