Rauma Lace Week 2020 will be arranged as a nine-hour live broadcast

Rauma Lace Week will be arranged this summer as a nine-hour live broadcast on the Night of Black Lace on July 24th, 2020. The Lace Week Live – Nine festival days in nine hours brings together versatile program, interesting local performers and festival atmosphere of The Lace Week to the people at home. The Lace Weeks is arranged for the 50th time this year.

During the broadcast, pre-shot performances and programme, interesting interviews (in Finnish), as well as a live broadcast from the courtyard of the Rauma Art Museum will be seen. The nine-hour broadcast can be watched live on the City of Rauma YouTube channel. It can be also watched afterwards as a recording on the same channel.

The Lace Week Live is a multicamera production, which is planned for the exceptional circumstances. Nine hours includes a lot of programme and some of the content is filmed in advance during the summer. Content will be filmed for example in Old Rauma and Sammallahdenmäki, which are both included on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site and also by the sea. The viewers of the broadcast are able to enjoy beautiful scenery of Rauma and unique surroundings of the World Heritages.

The program of the broadcast is built on important content of Lace Week, cultural factors of Rauma and living cultural heritage. There will be performing arts, listening versatile music and interesting interviews during the broadcast. There will be also completely new and exceptional content.
