A new kind of guided tour available at the Rauma Maritime Museum

Rauma Maritime Museum has developed a new way for visitors to learn about the city’s history in seafaring. The guided tasting tour is meant for small adult groups and it offers an experience that will waken visitors’ taste buds. During the tour group will follow sailor Onni’s life at the sea in the beginning of the 20th century.

In little under an hour’s time the group follows Onni to his first voyage, to exotic Haiti and all the way to the First World War. Visitors will also get a glimpse at the sailor’s family life. The tour is based on Onni’s personal diary and the museum’s own collection about Onni. The small tastings alongside the story telling bring Onni’s story alive.
