10.00– Lace Week open yards and yard sales
Several residents of Old Rauma will open their yards to the visitors during Lace Week. The residents will hold yard sales or allow visitors to explore their yards and the livelihood in Old Rauma.
Yards open for visitors can be identified on the spot by the logo of the Old Rauma Association.
Note! The yards are open according to the resident’s schedule, usually starting at 10.00.

In the non-stop workshop, a self-designed piece of jewelry is made from UV resin. The options are earrings, a keychain, a pendant, or a hair accessory. The jewelry can be decorated, for example, with glitter or dried flowers.

10.00–17.00 Lace-making in Marela and Kirsti museums
During Lace Week you have an opportunity to see Rauma bobbin lace being made daily at Marela and Kirsti. At Marela, the lace-maker is indoors. At Kirsti, on clear days, the lace-maker is in the courtyard, where you can visit free of charge. Otherwise there is admission fee.

The event will host entrepreneurs from over 30 different countries and numerous regions of Finland with their specialty products. The central idea at the markets is that products from different countries and regions are for sale, with their producers/growers personally selling and presenting their products.

11.00 Reksaari Island Adventure – Kayaking Trip to Rauma’s Oldest Tourist Island
Explore Rauma’s oldest tourist island by kayaking. We start the kayaking trip from the sheltered and peaceful Mustalahti small boat harbor. After a kayaking introduction, we paddle at a relaxed pace toward Reksaari, exploring nearby islands and observing the archipelago nature. We land at Karttu in Reksaari after a couple of hours of paddling. You can enjoy the unhurried island break however suits you best: relaxing, snacking, hiking, geocaching, or even swimming and sauna. Duration about 5 hours including the island break. Participants must be able to swim and be in basic physical condition.

A commemorative tour winding through the corners of Old Rauma, exploring local folklore through music and stories.
Performers: Venla Wallenius, actor and musician, Veera Katila, musician, and Are Flannagan Furub, musician.
During the presentation, participants will walk a few hundred meters. Duration approximately 1 hour.

After the play, meet Luna and Rebecca, the newest llama residents of Old Rauma. The event also features Kyllikki Salo’s art installation Me Too and a courtyard flea market. Refreshments and llama-themed cookies will be available for purchase. Duration of the event approximately 1 hour.

Ahoy! A tour for sailors and adventurers on dry land through the alleys of Old Rauma. The sea glistens, ship masts appear on the horizon, and nets are being repaired in the yards, but not everything is as it should be right now. A shipment of lumber has gone missing—and something else as well. Let’s look for clues and discover maritime artifacts and stories while learning about real historical facts.
Guided tour for children ages 4–10. Children must be accompanied by an adult. One adult may accompany multiple children.

🐞13.00 The mystery of Old Rauma – an interactive tour for children (FIN)
One day, something strange happened in Old Rauma. To solve the mystery, clever young detectives are needed! Using clues gathered during the tour, they’ll work to find out who is responsible. Could the mischievous lace town elves be behind it all?
The story is fictional, but during the guided tour participants will also explore the charming details of Old Rauma and learn a little about its history and present day.
The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and covers about 1 km.
The tour is designed for children aged approximately 4–11, but everyone is welcome to join. Maximum group size is 30 participants. Children cannot participate alone, each child must be accompanied by their own adult.

14.00 Brief Introduction to Paavo Paunu’s exhibition Seven Seas and Eight Tears
Rauma Art Museum’s summer exhibition Seven Seas and Eight Tears presents Paavo Paunu’s diverse artistic production from the 1990s to the present day. In a brief introduction, museum staff will present the exhibition and provide the basis for an independent tour. Duration approx. 15 minutes.
The tour is included in the museum admission fee 10,50/7,50 €, children under 18 for free.

Skidit-disco is an ode to life, dancing, and friends. It’s top songs, play, and crazy partying for all ages. For ten years, the Skidit-disco has been getting people to dance on ships, in museums, on fells, and in clubs. Tens of thousands of party-goers, liters of juice boxes, and piles of songs! A DJ and MC are always part of the fun, and sometimes cool guests are invited to the parties. Let’s BAILA!

Welcome to a child-friendly Ghost Tour of Old Rauma, where you’ll hear thrilling ghost stories! Finland’s third oldest town, with centuries-old houses in this UNESCO World Heritage site holds many secrets. This ghost tour is based on stories and real experiences shared by locals. In which house do the furniture mysteriously move by themselves? Where can you hear footsteps and knocking sounds?
The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and covers about 1,5 kilometers. . Children cannot participate alone, they must be accompanied by an adult. The tour is designed for children aged approximately 7–12, but everyone is welcome to join.
Maximum group size is 30 participants.

On Saturday a new event will take place in the inner courtyard of the Art Museum. Yhesfest brings together creators of music and performing arts. At the festival, the atmosphere of the past Lace Week can also be heard. At Yhestfest, the Rauma Theatre Club will also be presenting itself, celebrating its 75 years of activity.

15.00 Mane & Mose Allstars – charity event
At the Mane vs Mose Allstars charity event, funds are raised for children and young people in the Rauma area to support sports and physical activity. The Finnish baseball game will be led by Mika “Mane” Kuosmanen and Ari “Mose” Moisanen. Current and former athletes from Rauma or who have been active in Rauma, as well as people involved in sports, will be playing.
