Several residents of Old Rauma will open their yards to the visitors during Lace Week. The residents will hold yard sales or allow visitors to explore their yards and the livelihood in Old Rauma.
Yards open for visitors can be identified on the spot by the logo of the Old Rauma Association.

During Lace Week you have an opportunity to see Rauma bobbin lace being made daily at Marela and Kirsti. At Marela, the lace-maker is indoors. At Kirsti, on clear days, the lace-maker is in the courtyard, where you can visit free of charge. Otherwise there is admission fee.

Kosti has been seen going into the art museum’s courtyard, but not since. Your task is to put the clues together and find where Kosti the Fox is hiding! The hunt begins from Rauma Art Museum Shop Pinnala. Once you have found Kosti’s location, you can get a sweet prize from the shop!

During Lace Week, children can pick up an activity sheet at the museumâs front desk. Valo the sailor guides families to various learning points marked on a map. At these stations, children can try out, touch, draw, create, play, and explore. Along the way, theyâll dive into Valoâs life and work aboard a sailing ship. The activity sheet is available in both Finnish and English.

Ahoy! A tour for sailors and adventurers on dry land through the alleys of Old Rauma. The sea glistens, ship masts appear on the horizon, and nets are being repaired in the yards, but not everything is as it should be right now. A shipment of lumber has gone missingâand something else as well. Letâs look for clues and discover maritime artifacts and stories while learning about real historical facts.

On Saturday a new event will take place in the inner courtyard of the Art Museum. Yhesfest brings together creators of music and performing arts. At the Mane vs Mose Allstars charity event, funds are raised for children and young people in the Rauma area to support sports and physical activity. The Finnish baseball game will be led by Mika “Mane” Kuosmanen and Ari “Mose” Moisanen. Current and former athletes from Rauma or who have been active in Rauma, as well as people involved in sports, will be playing.
