10.00â Lace Week open yards and yard sales
Several residents of Old Rauma will open their yards to the visitors during Lace Week. The residents will hold yard sales or allow visitors to explore their yards and the livelihood in Old Rauma.
Yards open for visitors can be identified on the spot by the logo of the Old Rauma Association.
Note! The yards are open according to the resident’s schedule, usually starting at 10.00.

đ10.00 & 11.00 Teddys adventures at sea â music school for children (FIN)
Children can make music in a cheerful maritime atmosphere by singing, dancing and rhythmizing together with your guardian in the Tammela yard in atmospheric Old Rauma.
10 âŹ, adults free of charge. Duration 40 minutes. 30-40 children and adults can attend in one music school session. You cannot leave your child unattended at the musical school.

During Lace Week you have an opportunity to see Rauma bobbin lace being made daily at Marela and Kirsti. At Marela, the lace-maker is indoors. At Kirsti, on clear days, the lace-maker is in the courtyard, where you can visit free of charge. Otherwise there is admission fee.

11.00 Guided tour at SammallahdenmÀki
The UNESCO World Heritage Site SammallahdenmÀki is a Bronze Age burial site set amidst beautiful forest nature. Along the trail that winds through the area, there are 36 different burial cairns. Duration approximately 1,5 hours and is 2 kilometers long.
Note! Prepare according to weather conditions and with good shoes. The site is not accessible and the terrain can be rough to walk on at times.

11.30 Opening of the lace exhibitions at Culture House Poselli
The opening of Runsaudensarvi -exhibition of Pitsikeskus Emelia at the Poselli Culture House. The exhibition features lace works of Esa Uusi-Kesseli and many others.

The event opens with a family-friendly mini-play, The Growling Rabbit . The play is non-verbal, making it perfect for international visitors and the hearing impaired.
After the play, meet Luna and Rebecca, the newest llama residents of Old Rauma. The event also features Kyllikki Salo’s art installation Me Too and a courtyard flea market. Refreshments and llama-themed cookies will be available for purchase. Duration of the event approximately 1 hour.

đ13.00 The mystery of Old Rauma – an interactive tour for children (FIN)
One day, something strange happened in Old Rauma. To solve the mystery, clever young detectives are needed! Using clues gathered during the tour, theyâll work to find out who is responsible. Could the mischievous lace town elves be behind it all? The story is fictional, but during the guided tour participants will also explore the charming details of Old Rauma and learn a little about its history and present day.
Tour duration approx. 1 hour and it covers about 1 km. The route is not entirely accessible, but you can get around with a stroller.
The tour is designed for children aged 4â11, but everyone is welcome to join. Children must be accompanied by their own adult.

Ahoy! A tour for sailors and adventurers on dry land through the alleys of Old Rauma. The sea glistens, ship masts appear on the horizon, and nets are being repaired in the yards, but not everything is as it should be right now. A shipment of lumber has gone missingâand something else as well. Letâs look for clues and discover maritime artifacts and stories while learning about real historical facts.
Guided tour for children ages 4â10. Children must be accompanied by an adult. One adult may accompany multiple children.

Rauma Art Museumâs summer exhibition Seven Seas and Eight Tears presents Paavo Paunuâs diverse artistic production from the 1990s to the present day. In a brief introduction, museum staff will present the exhibition and provide the basis for an independent tour.
The introduction will be held in Finnish and, if necessary, also in English. Duration approximately 15 minutes.

At the family event, Duo Tuija Rantalainen and Guard Dog Veikko will perform. The park has pony rides, face painting, and a flower crown workshop. Park games and giant soap bubbles. Treats are available at the Rauma Latu buffet. In the park, moving happens along the gravel paths and lawns.
