Several residents of Old Rauma will open their yards to the visitors during Lace Week. The residents will hold yard sales or allow visitors to explore their yards and the livelihood in Old Rauma.
Yards open for visitors can be identified on the spot by the logo of the Old Rauma Association.

During Lace Week you have an opportunity to see Rauma bobbin lace being made daily at Marela and Kirsti. At Marela, the lace-maker is indoors. At Kirsti, on clear days, the lace-maker is in the courtyard, where you can visit free of charge. Otherwise there is admission fee.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site SammallahdenmÀki is a Bronze Age burial site set amidst beautiful forest nature. Along the trail that winds through the area, there are 36 different burial cairns. Duration approximately 1,5 hours and is 2 kilometers long.

The sea offers a variety of jobs, and at the orienteering checkpoints, five maritime professions are presented: pilot, fisherman, chief engineer, ship cook, and captain. The guide booklet explains the professions, and at the checkpoints, playful tasks are carried out that in some way relate to the profession shown.
Orienteering is included in the admission fee of 5 âŹ. Children under 12 for free with an adult.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site SammallahdenmĂ€ki is a Bronze Age burial site set amidst beautiful forest nature. Along the trail that winds through the area, there are almost 40 different burial cairns. At SammallahdenmĂ€ki, your imagination can run wild. What was life like over 3000 years ago? On a guided walking tour, the guide will lead the group to the areaâs historical cairns. Stories of Bronze Age life, traditions, religion, and burial practices enliven the tour.

This combination of a dramatized mini-concert and a museum tour invites you on a musical adventure. “MeriltĂ€” weaves together local maritime history with the folk music of the surrounding regions. Welcome to a child-friendly Ghost Tour of Old Rauma, where youâll hear thrilling ghost stories! Finlandâs third oldest town, with centuries-old houses in this UNESCO World Heritage site holds many secrets. This ghost tour is based on stories and real experiences shared by locals. In which house do the furniture mysteriously move by themselves? Where can you hear footsteps and knocking sounds?
The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and covers about 1,5 kilometers. Children cannot participate alone, they must be accompanied by an adult. The tour is designed for children aged 7â12, but everyone is welcome to join.

18.00 Dance artist Noora Juppi: Radicalis 1.0 â Greenhouse phenomenon
Visitors of Rauma Lace Week will encounter the Radicalis 1.0 outdoor artwork at the Tarvontori site. The performance is built around a freestanding pole dance pole and a greenhouse-like tent. Inside the tent, the performer transforms into plant-like and earthy conditions, challenging the logic of gravity.
Behind the work is pole dance artist Noora Juppi, who will be working during July at the Western Dance Regional Center’s residency in the RaumArs Art House. During the residency period, Juppi will work on her Radicalis project in Rauma, which combines pole dance, contemporary dance, and Japanese butoh dance in a site-specific environment. During July, the artist can be seen in the urban space, and passersby can follow the formation of the work as part of the daily landscape and the rhythm of the city! The residency period is carried out in collaboration with the City of Rauma.
