10.00â Lace Week open yards and yard sales
During the Lace Week, several residents of Old Rauma will open their yards to the visitors. The residents will hold yard sales or allow visitors to explore their yards as they are. The yards can be identified on the spot by the logo of the Old Rauma Association.
NOTE! The yards are open according to the resident’s schedule, usually starting at 10.00.

10.00 & 11.00 Music school for children at Marela
Musasoppi’s summer music school comes to Marela! In the music school you will get to know the different phenomena of the summer by singing, moving and playing instruments. The music school will take place in the museum’s courtyard, or inside if it rains. It is taught by Salla Hirvilammi, the lesson lasts about 30 minutes. Please choose a group according to the age of your child:

10.00â13.00 MacramĂ© bracelet workshop
Come make an easy bracelet using the macrame or knotting technique!
You can come to the non-stop workshop between 10.00â 13.00 and leave when the work is finished. Making a keychain takes about 1 hour. The workshop can accommodate 5 participants at a time; so be prepared to wait a while.
The price is 7 âŹ, which includes instruction and supplies. The bracelet workshop is suitable for people over 12 years old.

During the Lace Week you have an opportunity to see Rauma bobbin lace being made daily at Marela and Kirsti. At Marela, the lace-maker enjoys the indoor space, which is accessible for the price of the museum admission fee. At Kirsti, on clear days, the lace-maker is in the courtyard, where admission is free. Otherwise there is an admission fee.

The event features 140 entrepreneurs from over 30 countries and various regions of Finland, showcasing their specialty products. There will be amazing international food stalls, handicrafts, and textile. There will also be a funfair for children in the area.

The traditional cafĂ© of the Rauma Martha Association, where you can enjoy Rauma’s traditional foods such as lapskoussi, pankakko and topselivellinki from 11.00-14.00, or as long as there is food left. The courtyard cafĂ© will continue to stay open everyday until 18.00 as a waffle cafĂ©.

Children’s non-stop workshop “Dream your own park”, where children can create a dream park with characters, plants and animals.
In Lönnström’s home mouse corner, children can follow the adventures of Lönnström’s home mouse on video in the museum. The home mouse corner is in Finnish.

12.00â16.00 Plant dyeing at SepĂ€n Torppa
Come and spend a summer day at SepÀn Torppa and dive into the fascinating world of plant dyeing! During the day, we will dye yarns using plants and different purettes found in the local nature under the guidance of plant dyer and craft entrepreneur Ronja Kuokkanen. You can bring up to 100 grams of wool or wool blend yarn divided into four small skeins, or buy the necessary yarns on the spot. There will also be a supply shop on site.
The participation fee is âŹ10 per person and the event can accommodate up to 10 participants.

The exhibition presents the history and present day of lace-making in Rauma, featuring lace treasures and memories from the collections of the Rauma Museum. The tour lasts about 30 minutes.

At the Conversation park`s summer event: Various artists perform, flower wreath workshop, a large flower painting will be painted together. Park games and giant soap bubbles. Cotton candy and baking a stick bun.
