During the Lace Week, several residents of Old Rauma will open their yards to the visitors. The residents will hold yard sales or allow visitors to explore their yards as they are. The yards can be identified on the spot by the logo of the Old Rauma Association.

NOTE! The yards are open according to the resident’s schedule, usually starting at 10.00.

Make music in a cheerful maritime atmosphere by singing, dancing and rhythmizing together with your own adult in the Tammela yard in atmospheric Old Rauma.

During the Lace Week you have an opportunity to see Rauma bobbin lace being made daily at Marela and Kirsti. At Marela, the lace-maker enjoys the indoor space, which is accessible for the price of the museum admission fee. At Kirsti, on clear days, the lace-maker is in the courtyard, where admission is free. Otherwise there is an admission fee.

Come and solve puzzles in Marela!

The Story of the Rauman lace exhibition offers fun activities for the little ones in the family! Help the lace-maker find the objects that have fallen out of the basket!

There is an entrance fee, children under 18 are free.

Maid or farmhand Day is an interactive tour for young children, where they can learn about old-fashioned household chores and games at the sailor’s home Kirsti. Age recommendation +5 years. Can accommodate 10 children at a time.

During Lace Week, children can pick up an activity sheet at the museum’s front desk. Valo the sailor guides families to various learning points marked on a map. At these stations, children can try out, touch, draw, create, play, and explore. Along the way, they’ll dive into Valo’s life and work aboard a sailing ship. The activity sheet is available in both Finnish and English.

The adventure tour is included in the museum admission. Free entry for children under 7.

The opening of Semmost ja tämmöst -exhibition of Nyplääjät ry and Pitsikeskus Emelia at the Culture house Poselli. Liisa Tulosmaa will give the opening speech and there will also be a small catering service.

Children’s non-stop workshop “Dream your own park”, where children can create a dream park with characters, plants and animals.

In Lönnström’s home mouse corner, children can follow the adventures of Lönnström’s home mouse on video in the museum. The home mouse corner is in Finnish.

There is an entrance fee, children under 18 are free.

One day, something strange happened in Old Rauma. To solve the mystery, clever young detectives are needed! Using clues gathered during the tour, they’ll work to find out who is responsible. Could the mischievous lace town elves be behind it all?

The story is fictional, but during the guided tour participants will also explore the charming details of Old Rauma and learn a little about its history and present day.

The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and covers about 1 km.

Price is 8 €/person (adults must also buy a ticket). Children cannot participate alone, each child must be accompanied by their own adult.

The tour is designed for children aged approximately 4–11, but everyone is welcome to join. Children aged 0–3 can join the rest of the family for free.
Maximum group size: 30 participants.

The exhibition presents the history and present day of lace-making in Rauma, featuring lace treasures and memories from the collections of the Rauma Museum. The tour lasts about 30 minutes.

The tour is included in the museum entrance fee.

At the event for the whole family in the Conversation Park: the Ruffle Army giant soap bubble group performs and DJ Pete plays children’s music. Glitter tattoo stand, hobby horse workshop and laceflower workshop (enrolment on the museum’s website). Park games and giant soap bubbles. Cotton candy and baking a stick bun.
