Events marked in đ in the program are particularly suitable for families with children. Children are also welcome to other events unless an age limit is specifically indicated.

10.00â Lace Week open yards and yard sales
During the Lace Week, several residents of Old Rauma will open their yards to the visitors. The residents will hold yard sales or allow visitors to explore their yards as they are. The yards can be identified on the spot by the logo of the Old Rauma Association.
NOTE! The yards are open according to the resident’s schedule, usually starting at 10.00.

Lace Week will be officially opened at Helsingintori.
The event will feature speakers and musical performances.

Make music in a cheerful maritime atmosphere by singing, dancing and rhythmizing together with your own adult in the Tammela yard in atmospheric Old Rauma.

Children’s non-stop workshop “Dream your own park”, where children can create a dream park with characters, plants and animals.
In Lönnström’s home mouse corner, children can follow the adventures of Lönnström’s home mouse on video in the museum. The home mouse corner is in Finnish.
There is an entrance fee, children under 18 are free.

During the Lace Week you have an opportunity to see Rauma bobbin lace being made daily at Marela and Kirsti. At Marela, the lace-maker enjoys the indoor space, which is accessible for the price of the museum admission fee. At Kirsti, on clear days, the lace-maker is in the courtyard, where admission is free. Otherwise there is an admission fee.

Maid or farmhand Day is an interactive tour for young children, where they can learn about old-fashioned household chores and games at the sailor’s home Kirsti. Age recommendation +5 years. Can accommodate 10 children at a time.

The opening of Semmost ja tÀmmöst -exhibition of NyplÀÀjÀt ry and Pitsikeskus Emelia at the Culture house Poselli. Liisa Tulosmaa will give the opening speech and there will also be a small catering service.

14.00 Story of the Rauma Lace â Guided tour
The exhibition presents the history and present day of lace-making in Rauma, featuring lace treasures and memories from the collections of the Rauma Museum. The tour lasts about 30 minutes.
The tour is included in the museum entrance fee.

At the event for the whole family in the Conversation Park: the Ruffle Army giant soap bubble group performs and DJ Pete plays children’s music. Glitter tattoo stand and Hobby Horse Workshop (enrolment on the museum’s website). Park games and giant soap bubbles. Cotton candy and baking a stick bun.
