Rauma Art Museum is open throughout the Lace Week 10.00–17.00, Fri 26.7. 10.00–19.00

The third edition of the Rauma Triennial in the summer of 2025 will explore the struggle and effort at the heart of society as a natural feature of the human body. The forthcoming exhibition will present a wide range of artists and their artistic work around the themes of effort and toil.

Now it’s done. Upstairs at the Rauma Art Museum, hand picked items of the collection has been assembled under the title Heart of Pinnala. A selection of 60 works by 60 artists has been chosen from around 3,500 works. The oldest works of art date back to the 19th century, while the newest was completed and acquired last year. Paintings, sculptures, ceramics, prints, drawings and one video work. Numerous stories and imaginative images. Worth a visit more than once, the exhibition is on display for the time being.

There is an admission fee to the museum.

Tommi Ketonen is skilled in one of the most demanding methods of glass art – the Graal technique. This method, developed in Sweden in the 1910s, allows the capture of engraved, etched or painted patterns on the inside of the glass, in layers of glass. Ketonen combines bold and modern visual elements with this traditional technique, making his work unique and contemporary.
