The new Visit Rauma website has been published

The new Visit Rauma website was launched on Tuesday, June 18 as well as the new website of the City of Rauma. The overall site includes the main portals Rauma.fi and Visitrauma.fi. The Rauma.fi site compiles all information regarding city services. The maritime-themed Visitrauma.fi provides useful information for tourists, but also contains interesting content from the perspective of the residents.

The goal of the revamp is to ensure data security and improve the discoverability of service information.

– The website’s appearance has undergone a fresh transformation. The city’s new visual identity and its accompanying color combinations complete the whole, says Communications Manager Raija Lehtorinne.

Pages will be updated even after publication

The amount of data and content to be transferred to the new platform is large. There are hundreds of pages to be compiled, both in Finnish and English. The updating and finalizing of the site will continue intensively after publication.

– Content has been condensed and combined into various sections compared to our previous sites. So it might happen that an old link doesn’t work or that information has been relocated. The Rauma.fi and VisitRauma.fi sites have a search function that retrieves information from all content. It’s worth using this feature, says Lehtorinne.

Feedback on the new website can be sent through the electronic feedback service at asiointi.rauma.fi/eFeedback/en.

– Feedback will be considered in the continued development of the site. If you notice a broken link or can’t find the information you’re looking for, please report it immediately, says Lehtorinne.

The website renewal project team included representatives from communication and marketing services, tourism services, IT management, and records management. Around 70 city website editors participated in the update work during the project. The technical implementation of the site was done by Valu Digital Oy.

The new site also includes the events calendar at tapahtumat.rauma.fi/, launched on June 7, where anyone organizing events in Rauma can register their events.
