Traffic arrangements in Rauma city center on Lace Week
News
The Lace Week city festival will bring several changes to traffic arrangements in downtown Rauma. The construction of event areas will lead to street closures, affect parking, and relocate local bus stops. During the event, only essential service traffic and escorted access to properties will be allowed on closed streets. Temporary traffic arrangements will be in effect from 20 July 2026 onwards. These arrangements will be removed after the event, no later than Monday, 27 July 2026.

Where can I drive and park?
The City Festival Lace Week (Pitsiviikko) affects traffic arrangements in central Rauma. The construction and operation of event areas require temporary street closures, which may restrict vehicle access and affect parking availability.
Please check the traffic map and follow all temporary traffic signs and instructions during the event. By planning your route in advance and observing the guidance provided, we can all help ensure a safe and enjoyable festival experience.
International Grand Markets opens on Wednesday, 22 July. Construction of the market area will begin the day before, resulting in the closure of several streets in the town center.
Traffic will be closed on Nortamonkatu between Vänninkatu and Pakkahuoneenkatu. The long-distance coach express stop on Nortamonkatu will also be out of service for the duration of the market.
The intersections of Valtakatu and Tehtaankatu, and Kalliokatu and Lyseokatu, will be barrier-controlled and supervised by traffic controllers. In addition, the section of Kanavakatu along Kanalinranta, as well as Savilankatu between Pakkahuoneenkatu and Kuninkaankatu, will be closed.
The Savilanpuisto taxi stand and the adjacent parking area will remain in normal use. Emergency and service access routes will also be kept open throughout the event.
The vehicle restriction within the event area also applies to bicycles and e-scooters. However, they may be walk with them through the area. For more information about the traffic arrangements, please see the map below.
