Have adventures on the lanes of Old Rauma – Adventure in Old Rauma

An adventurous tour in Old Rauma, during which the history of the town is introduced. The excursion is suitable for pupils between the ages of 7 and 12. Duration about 45 minutes, 6 €/pupil. Max group size is 25 pupils/tour.

Navigate at the Maritime Museum – Rauma Maritime Museum

• Adventure around Cape Horn: A voyage as the crew of a sailing ship a hundred years ago. Suitable for 6–7 years old children. Duration 30 minutes.
• Shipwreck adventure: Why do ships sink sometimes? What can studying the shipwrecks tell us? The basics information about navigation and shipwreck studies. Suitable for 8–12 years old children. Duration about 45 minutes.
• Merimiehet ja heidän laivansa -opastus: Millaista on merimiesten elämä ollut erilaisissa laivoissa eri aikoina?  Millaista ruokaa he ovat syöneet? Miten he ovat pitäneet yhteyttä kotiin? Kierroksella tutustutaan monipuolisesti merimiesten elämään 1800-luvulta nykypäivään. Soveltuu parhaiten 2.–6. luokkalaisille. Kierroksen kesto 30–45 min.
• Sailors and their ships guided tour: What kind of life the sailors had on the ships? What kind of food they ate? How they have been contacting home? Guided tour introduces the life of the sailors from 1800 century to present day. Suitable for 8–12 years old children. Duration about 30–45 minutes.

Play in Kipparinpuisto Playground

Kipparinpuisto Playground and Traffic Park are convenient destinations for playing. The traffic park gives 6–12-year-olds a chance to practise traffic behaviour with bikes and pedal cars. The playground is accessible around the clock. Bikes and pedal cars for the traffic park are available on request for additional cost.

Ride with the Kake Citytrain

A fun city train ride is a great way to get to know Rauma. The tour lasts about an hour and takes you around the city centre and the beautiful scenery of the seafront. The train can accommodate a maximum of 60 people. The price is €150 per hour.

Take a peek at Lönnström’s home museum

NOTE! The Teresia and Rafael Lönnström House Museum will be closed for most of 2024 for renovation.

Come and see what the home museum has to offer! The children’s tour will take you to the home museum of Teresia and Rafael Lönnström, the everyday life and celebrations of the Lönnström family who lived in the house, and the works of art in the home. You can also opt for the “Haukkuja ja Hirnahduksia” tour, which presents animal themes in the artworks and artefacts of the house museum. In addition to dogs and horses, the tour includes artwork on birds.

Guided tours for school groups are available on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tour lasts about 45-60 minutes and costs €60. Reservations must be made in advance
