The Geometry of Comets

In 2025, the light installation in Kitukränn featured five playful comets by visual artist Mollu Heino. The stars had landed midway along the alley, coming to a halt, and their interiors could be glimpsed through small openings. Inside, a continuum of golden reflections unfolded, where various geometric shapes repeated endlessly.

The artist explained that it feels as though the world has gone so crazy that anything could happen – so why not comets in Kitukränn? The anatomy of the five luminous comets that had landed in the alley varied. One had a long tail, another seemed to spin around itself, yet all shared a glowing, golden, and angular core.
