Traffic Arrangements in Old Rauma

Kuninkaankatu and Kauppakatu will be closed to traffic between Savilankatu and Vähäkirkkokatu. Vähäkirkkokatu will be one-way from Kuninkaankatu to Kauppakatu to allow access to the market square from the direction of Kuninkaankatu.

The section of Kuninkaankatu between Isokirkkokatu and Vähäkirkkokatu will also function as a pedestrian street, as it did last year. The parking area at the market square will remain in use, but access will be exceptionally from the Vähäkirkkokatu side.

Temporary traffic arrangements will be marked with traffic signs, and restricted driving areas will be bordered with flower containers.

Resident Access

Residents living in the area between Raumanjoki River and Kuninkaankatu can access their properties via Vähäkirkkokatu, Vähäkoulukatu, and Isokirkkokatu, passing behind the Rautla building (Kauppahuone Riveri) and Café Sali. The access route is one-way during the pedestrian street period.

Movement and Parking

Shops located along the pedestrian street are allowed to place sales stands or furniture in front of their businesses, on the sidewalk.

During the pedestrian street period, it is recommended to leave your car at home or use public parking areas near Old Rauma. Gyyt’s buses provide free transport to the city center throughout June and July. Summer schedules for local transport can be found at www.rauma.fi/rauman-gyyt.
