Kuuskajaskari
Beautiful nature, interesting geology and the history of the fortress island.

Kuuskajaskari island offers visitors both marine experiences and the sheltered peace of a forested island.
On the former fortress island, the military atmosphere is still very much in evidence. The island has many interesting military attractions, including four decommissioned coastal guns, one of which is still operational. The island also has a sea control and fire control tower, trenches, firing stations and other essentials of the former fort.
The island offers accommodation, café and restaurant services and sauna facilities. Guided tours are also available.
During the summer, there is a daily scheduled boat service to Kuuskajaskari from Syväraumanlahti. The sea journey takes about 30 minutes each way. There is a guest harbour on the island with a total of 40 berths for those travelling with their own boat.
