Kodisjoki Museum
Next to the Kodisjoki Church stands an old grain storage building, now a small and charming local heritage museum. Its extensive collection was gathered by local museum enthusiast Erik Iso-Ettala and showcases rural life and livelihoods, mainly from the years 1850 to 1950. A special feature of the museum is Iso-Ettala’s detailed drawings of the objects and their uses, as well as of local houses, granaries, and ovens. Adjacent to the museum is a beautiful wooden church built in 1906, which houses a small church museum that visitors can explore when the church is open.
