Changes to Traffic Arrangements and Public Transport Due to Raumanmeren Juhannus, June 16–22, 2025

Raumanmeren Juhannus Festival (RMJ) will take place at Otanlahti beach park from June 19–21, 2025. The event will affect traffic arrangements in the Otan area as well as Route 7 of the Rauma Gyyt public transport line starting Monday, June 16. Temporary arrangements will be dismantled during Sunday, June 22.
Street Closures and Traffic Arrangements
- Access to Rantatalo during the festival construction period (June 16–18) will be via Poroholma or along the beach from the Makis direction.
- Suvitie will be closed between Otantie and Poroholmantie. The road will be closed from Monday, June 16 at 10:00 AM until Sunday, June 22 at 8:00 PM.
- Heinästenkatu will be closed at the intersection of Aarnenpolku, and Kaskistenkatu will be closed at the intersection of Pidesluodonkatu. These roads will be closed from Wednesday, June 18 at 10:00 PM until Sunday, June 22 at 6:00 PM.
- Urheilukatu will be closed to traffic between Raumamerenkatu and Poroholmantie. Poroholmantie will be closed between Urheilukatu and Kalastajantie. Access will be allowed for customers of Poroholma. The road will be closed from Wednesday, June 18 at 10:00 PM until Sunday, June 22 at 6:00 PM.
- Otantie will be closed to traffic from the intersection of Suokarinkatu to the intersection of Suvitie. Suvitie will be closed up to the summer theatre intersection. Access will be allowed for local residents, RMJ camping guests, and outdoor swimming pool visitors. The roads will be closed from Wednesday, June 18 at 10:00 PM until Sunday, June 22 at 6:00 PM.
- Raumanmerenkatu will be converted to one-way traffic between the Otan roundabout and Urheilukatu.
- No parking zones will be in place on Rauhankatu, Saaristokatu, Urheilukatu, Pursikatu, Raumanmerenkatu, and Pyynpäänkatu.
Parking Area Changes
- The parking area between Urheilukatu 3 and Urheilukatu 5 will be closed to public use. Only resident parking will be allowed. Parking permits for residents will be distributed. Resident parking will be in effect from Wednesday, June 18 at 4:00 PM until Sunday, June 22 at 4:00 PM.
- The parking area on Raumanmerenkatu next to the Family Support Center (opposite Raumanmerenkatu 17) will be reserved for RMJ and Family Support Center staff use. Parking permits for this area will be distributed by the event organizer. Restricted parking will be in effect from Wednesday, June 18 at 4:00 PM until Sunday, June 22 at 4:00 PM.
Public Transport – Route 7 on Detour June 16–22
Direction Savila – Suvitie:
Savila – Pakkahuoneenkatu – Nortamonkatu – Tallikedonkatu – Karjalankatu – Syväraumankatu – Suvitie
Direction Suvitie – Savila:
Suvitie – Syväraumankatu – Raumanmerenkatu – Hakunintie – Leikarinkaari – Sorkantie – Luoteisväylä – Valtakatu – Lyseokatu – Kauppakatu – Savila
During Midsummer Week, public transport will operate on Friday, June 20 according to Sunday timetables, and there will be no service on Saturday, June 21.
