The Lace Week programme has been published

Rauma’s biggest summer event Lace Week is being held for the 53th time this year in late July, 22.-30.7. The nine-day-long cityfestival offers a lot of different and interesting events, free concerts and lace exhibitions, craft workshops and versatile children’s programme during the whole week.

– The Lace week is an event for the whole family and our goal is that every visitor finds activities that are interesting for them. Everyone is welcome to join the amazing activities and experiences during the Lace week, cultural producer Outi Lehtorinne says.

Rauma city is responsible for the Lace week, but locals are invited to join assembling the event. Multiple different companies, associations and private individuals are included in the planning and building the event which enables events programme that is inviting for all target groups.

– The programme is still changing and clarifications will hapen during early summer. You can find the programme on the Lace Week web-page pitsiviikko.fi, and much desired paper programme will be published in the city newspaper Raumalainen in the beginning of July, Lehtorinne says.

Program excerpts from the upcoming Lace Week

More than 30 residents of Vanhan Rauma open their yards for the Lace Week. Residents organize flea market sales or let visitors explore their yard every day of Lace Week.

Wednesday 26.7. young people get to participate in the Youth of Savila concert evening, which culminates in a concert by the Finnish band KUUMAA.

On Wednesday 26.7. Häplänperä Valittajat will hold Häpläparkour, where everyone gets to have an adventure using various obstacles.

Thursday 27.7. the 2023 Miss Lace will be crowned and Rauma’s Soittokunta will be performing.

Night of Black lace’s concert is on Friday 28.7. Singers Neili and Vilma Alina and a Finnish band called Don Johnson Big Band are performing.

Saturday 29.7. the organized Kulttuurilossi art event offers the public of all ages the opportunity to experience diverse art from different art areas and observe together the wonders of the archipelago’s nature.
