The Finnish Navy’s anniversary is celebrated in Rauma 9.7.

The Finnish Navy is celebrating their anniversary in Rauma the 9th of July, in Suoja quay area. Public has an opportunity to familiarize themselves with some of the Navy’s ships and their equipment at 11–18 o’clock at Suoja quay. On the site there is also canteen car and tent.

The Finnish Navy’s 104th anniversary starts with raising the flag at 8 am. Flowergarland is lowered to K-8-memorial at Monna cemetery at forenoon. At 10 o’clock there will be parade review with field service. Parade will be lead by The Finnis Navy’s Chief of Staff, Commodore Jukka Anteroinen. The parade review will be performed by Commander of the Finnish Navy Rear Admiral Jori Harju. The field service will be held by a military chaplain Henri Kivijärvi.

The anniversary celebrations can also be enjoyed in Rauma town square, where the Navy Band entertains the crowd at 12–13 o’clock.

The ships arrive to Suoja quay on Friday the 8th of July. At sunset the sips will honor the anniversary with a celebatory lighting. Sunday the 10th at 9 o’clock and onwards the Navy ships detaches from Suoja quay, the detachement will be commentated.

The anniversary festivities are free of charge.
