Schjerfbeck’s The Convalescent on display in Rauma Art Museum 5.-24.9.

The Ateneum’s most beloved classics, Helene Schjerfbeck’s The Convalescent and Eero Järnefelt’s Under the Yoke (Burning the Brushwood), visit eleven Finnish art museums as a part of Finland’s 100th anniversary celebrations. The Convalescent was painted in 1888 and is on display in Rauma Art Museum 5.-24.9.2017.

The Convalescent complements the art of the golden age of Finnish art in Eino Valtonen’s collection.
