Rauma offers a wide selection of summer events in August

July is turning into August, but there are plenty of summer events left in Rauma.

Rauma Festivo’s chamber music festival will be held from the 3rd of August to the 7th of August. The festival is built around a special theme: eight pleasures of life and seven deadly sins. In addition to eight main concerts, surprise concerts featuring more than 30 artists will be heard in Rauma. Some of the concerts will also be streamed online.

The Ice Hockey Lace Tournament will take over the Kivikylä Arena on Friday the 6th of August. In addition to the local team Lukko, Ässät, KooKoo, TPS, Sport and SaiPa will play in the tournament this year. The first match of the match will be played at 8.45 a.m. in the morning.

In mid-August, you can enjoy of more live music. The Feel Good Festival Rauma Blues will be held with Finnish artists from the 12th of August to the 14th of August. The programme offers club gigs on Thursday and Friday. Saturday’s main concert will be held in the courtyard of Rauma City Hall. The main concert will feature Heikki Silvennoinen Band and Dave Lindholm Lights, among others.

The Blue Sea Film Festival will be held in Rauma for the 28th time from the 19th of August to the 22nd of August. This year’s theme country is Latvia. The festival’s Latvia series will include a feature-length film, a documentary film and an animated feature film. The international short film competition Baltic Herring once again brings out short films from the Baltic Sea region. The theme of the short films is water.
