The Day of Finnish Visual Art will be celebrated on the 10th of July. During the day, various artists will open the doors of their studios to audience. The program also includes exhibitions, dancing, guided tours, art sales and non-stop workshops. The annual celebration has become a significant summer event in Rauma.

You can find all available locations with the help of an official Visual Art Day map. The map can be found from the Old Town Hall (Kauppakatu 13) and the service centre Pyyrman (Valtakatu 2 A). The map can also be downloaded in pdf format.

Museums celebrate the Day of Finnish Visual Art with some fair atmosphere, as the Rauma Art Museum, the Rauma Maritime Museum and the Lönnström Museums organize an art market on the same day.

In the Rauma Art Museum market, artists will be selling their own works in the art museum’s courtyard and workshop. Art publications removed from the art museum’s library are also for sale. During the market, Ulla-Maija Alanen will talk about her exhibition The Consciousness of Water: The Silence of the Lake and its creation. The exhibition is on display in the old storage of the Rauma Art Museum.
