Lace Week

Rauma Lace Week will be held in 21.—29.7. The city festival offers versatile experiences and attractions to both adults and children. The program includes lace-, handicraft- and art exhibitions, lectures and music. International Grand Market is in town in 25.—28.7.

Lace for all

There are over 50 different destinations from lace exhibitions to ceramics and jewelry. In addition, those who are interested can try weaving lace themselves for example in culture house Poselli or Old Town Hall. Programme also offers lace- and handicraft courses and lectures.

Visitors tend to dress in lace during Night of Black Lace. Professional photographer and blogger Veera Korhonen will take photographs about visitors’ lace-inspired styles and those who are pictured can load their pictures after the event.

All kinds of music

In Thursday 26.7 there will be a musical evening in Savilanpuisto. Enjoy brass music and amazing vocalists. Music varies from Abba’s classics to well-known musical tunes. In Friday 27.7 the town celebrates Night of Black Lace and the carnival will last until late night.

Blue Jazz offers a chance to come and listen jazz music in the middle of the hectic Night of Black Lace. The concert starts at 7pm. in the city theatre.
