Hanseatic Nature cruise ship will visit Rauma three times during the early part of the year

The cruise ship, operated by Hapag Lloyd, will arrive in Rauma on January 15th, February 22nd, and March 31st. The vessel is expected to have around 200 cruise passengers on board.

The ship’s departure and arrival port is in Germany, and its route takes it through Sweden, Finland, and Denmark. The ship will arrive in Rauma from Oulu and continue its journey to Copenhagen.

– Cruise ships are welcome in Rauma regardless of the season. There is plenty to do in the winter, and the arrival of cruise ships in the early part of the year is seen as a very positive development for the year-round tourism, according to Tourist Information Officer Johanna Sainio.

Some passengers explore the area through guided tours, while others independently explore the city center. Tours include visits to places like Old Rauma, the Rauma Maritime Museum, and Olkiluoto.

In the later part of 2024 and early 2025, the French cruise ship Le Commandant Charcot from Ponant cruise company is tentatively scheduled to visit Rauma. During visits coinciding with the Christmas season, passengers will have the opportunity to enjoy the Christmas festivities and winter activities in Rauma.

– It’s nice to plan various excursions in collaboration with different ships. Our UNESCO World Heritage sites, the local culture, and history are, of course, part of the visits. However, the ships also have different interests, so we always come up with something new and different based on those preferences, says Sainio.
