UNESCO World Heritage Site Sammallahdenmäki is introduced on guided tours in July. A guide is present in Sammallahdenmäki at the southern information point (Savulaaksontie) 3.-31.7. from Monday to Friday at 11-17. The price of the guided tour is 2€/person.

Bus transportation from the city centre to Sammallahdenmäki is organised on Thurdays between July 5th and August 30th. The bus leaves from Poroholma holiday centre (close to Rantatalo, Suvitie) at 13.00 and from the bus station charter bus bay (Tehtaankatu 5) at 13.10. In Sammallahdenmäki, there is a guided tour in the area in Finnish. Return to the city centre at 15.30 at the latest. The price of the excursion is 10€/person, cash payment on the bus.
