Christmas in Lace Town on display at Turku Book Fair 29.9.–1.10.

Visitors can explore the implementations and atmosphere of Lace Town’s Christmas at the Turku Book Fair from September 29 to October 1 at booth A21. The upcoming Christmas ensemble will be presented to visitors, and literature from Rauma can also be purchased from the fair booth.

– This year, the theme of the book fair is dance, so dancing angels familiar from the Joulevangeeljum musical play will also flutter to the Lace Town’s Christmas booth, hints tourism manager Irene Villanen.

Lace Town’s Christmas booth can be recognized by the festive city illustration decorating its appearance and by the Rauma Flikk statue, which you can also take photos with. In addition, visitors can explore the Christmas story and guess the words associated with it.

– We hope that many who are interested in Lace Town’s Christmas will stop by our booth. Rauma’s Christmas Market is going to be a hit, as the atmospheric ensemble is built around Old Rauma, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I believe that this lovely and atmospheric ensemble, along with the Tammela Elf Courtyard, will attract visitors and families to Rauma from afar, Villanen says.

The Turku Book Fair is held at the Turku Fair Center, located at Messukentänkatu 9-13. The fair is open on Friday from 10 am to 6 pm, on Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, and on Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.
