In Pits-Priia, the Bobbin Lacemakers Association’s premises located in Old Rauma, you can familiarise yourself with the bobbin lace of today and watch lace making.


Old Rauma Renovation Centre Tammela (Eteläpitkäkatu 17) is a functional exhibition centre in the heart of Old Rauma. Tammela exhibits how old culturally and historically significant timber buildings are renovated and maintained.  Open year-round (check the opening hours) and on request.

Church of the Holy Cross

The Church of the Holy Cross was originally built as the church of a Fransiscan monastery of Rauma in the Middle Ages, in the early 15th century. The neoclassical steeple of the church was constructed in 1816, and the stones of the ruins of the Church of Holy Trinity were partly used to build it. The Church of Holy Trinity was destroyed in a fire in 1640. Open year-round.

Vuojoki Mansion in Eurajoki

Vuojoki Mansion, designed by architect C.L Engel and located in Eurajoki, is one of Finland’s most valuable architectural entities. The mansion acts as a conference venue as well as a venue for cultural events and other occasions. Guided tours for groups available on request.

Välimaa croft in Eurajoki

Välimaa croft with all of its outbuildings depicts the daily life of the crofters of the manor. At Välimaa croft, you can join for example the croft’s servant girl in carrying wood, fetching water from the well and playing traditional games. An exciting place for children and young people, as well as for adults. Events are often arranged according to the season.

Eura Perfumery and Gallery

Step inside through the narrowest door in the village! The Eura Perfumery has been in service for over 70 years. Today, the perfumery together with the charming Hamm’s house, its garden, and the River Gallery by the riverside form a unique ensemble where the visitors may take a breath and enjoy different treatments and experiences.

Kauttua Ironworks area in Eura

The Ironworks area is one of the most historically representative industrial areas in the Satakunta region. The ironworks was founded by the district governor Lorenz Creutz in 1689. The area developed to be a lively industrial community, and today the area serves tourists, event organisers and locals. Kauttua Factory Museum displays the industrial history of the area. Along the Eurajoki rapids, Jokisauna, a building designed by Alvar Aalto, offers visitors café services and sauna facilities.

Rauma Maritime Museum and the historical attractions in Rauma archipelago

Fans of prehistory are in for a treat in Rauma. The high-quality maritime museum with a navigation simulator offers versatile information about the maritime history. In addition to the collection of items, the visitors can explore “information lighthouses” for comprehensive thematic entities and databases. Anyone wishing to see the maritime landscapes should visit some of the tourist islands in Rauma. Regular water traffic runs to Kylmäpihlaja lighthouse island and to Kuuskajaskari fortress island during the summer season.

The homestead museums with their versatile collections are great places to explore the life at the countryside and to see how people used to live in the old times. Lappi Regional Museum, Muina Homestead Museum, and the museums in Kodisjoki offer interesting stories about famous locals, old items and countryside atmosphere. Close to the Kodisjoki museums, there is also the charming Art home of Väinö and Hilma Ylen which has a folklore art exhibition. In Eurajoki, the collections of Irjanne museums include an agriculture museum, a school museum, a local museum and a collection of weapons. Hinnerjoki museums, Old Vicarage in Kiukainen and Panelia Museum close to Panelia Mill are museums in Eura region.
